Frequently asked questions

How do I grant Folio access to my photos?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, scroll down to Folio, tap Photos, and choose All Photos or Limited Photos. Both full and limited access are supported — with limited access, you pick which photos Folio can display. You can change this at any time in Settings.
What does swiping left or right do?
Swiping left queues a photo for deletion; swiping right keeps it. Queued photos are not deleted immediately — you review them first, and the actual deletion goes through Apple Photos with Apple's own confirmation step.
What does the free introduction include?
During onboarding you can make 10 photo decisions at no cost. No subscription starts and nothing is charged. Please note that undoing a decision, restoring a queued photo, or resetting your sorting does not replenish this allowance — once your 10 decisions are used, a subscription is needed to continue.
How do I restore a subscription I've already paid for?
Open Folio and tap Restore purchases. If you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe, your access will be restored. Subscription status is verified through Apple and RevenueCat using only anonymous purchase information — never your photos.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select Folio, and choose to change your plan or cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
How do I request a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds go through Apple as well. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund for a Folio purchase.
Why do screenshots and similar photos appear first?
Folio brings likely clutter forward — screenshots, groups of similar shots, and low-resolution images — so you can clear the obvious stuff first. These suggestions are computed on your device and are imperfect by nature. You always decide: a suggestion is only ever a starting point, and every photo keeps or deletes based on your swipe.
Can I recover a photo I deleted?
Yes, if it's still within Apple's retention window. Open the Apple Photos app, go to Albums → Recently Deleted, and restore the photo from there while it remains available.
The app isn't working as expected. What should I send you?
Email us at cradles550@gmail.com and include your iPhone model, iOS version, the app version, and a description of what happened. Please don't send private photos, passwords, or other sensitive information.
